Vouch

What happens after the prompt.

Vouch is a generative engine optimisation (GEO) tool that shows brands how AI assistants talk about them across a whole buying conversation, and where they drop out. AI search does not end at the first answer: buyers ask five more questions, and that is where your brand wins or disappears.

Invite-only for now. Every invitation starts with a 14-day free trial. Assistants tracked today: Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity (API answers), Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Copilot (Bing AI answer). Threads run on Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT and Perplexity (API answers).

What you see in Vouch

The dashboard leads with the week’s Vouch Rate. Open any Thread to read the conversation question by question and see the stage where your brand dropped out.

Example data
The Vouch project dashboard for the demo brand Demo Cycles, scoped to all prompts, engines and countries: a Latest changes strip, each change labelled week of 26 Oct (Vouch Rate down 23, salvation rate down 20 points, visibility down 5 points), a Vouch Rate of 37 from 5 completed conversations, and a card showing where buyers drop the brand: stage 4, Trust, “Is their after-sales service reliable?”, where 3 of 5 Threads dropped it and Rival Bikes was named instead.
The project dashboard: what changed this week, the Vouch Rate and where buyers drop the brand, ahead of the salvation rate, visibility, share of voice and position. Example data from the built-in demo brand Demo Cycles, not a real customer.
Example data
Two stages of a Thread run for Demo Cycles on a phone: at stage 3, Objection, when the buyer asks about battery problems, the answer names Demo Cycles and is marked Brand named; at stage 4, Trust, when the buyer asks whether after-sales service is reliable, the answer names only Rival Bikes and is marked Not named.
A Thread run: the brand is named for three questions, then drops out at the Trust stage. Example data from the built-in demo brand Demo Cycles, not a real customer.

People don’t ask the AI one question. They have a conversation.

Most tools check whether your brand is mentioned in the first answer. Buyers keep asking: for a shortlist, the downsides, whether to trust you, whether you are worth the price, and which one to buy. You can be named first and still lose the sale four questions later.

Single-prompt tracking compared with a ThreadSingle-prompt tracking records one answer: named or not. Single-prompt tracking sees one answer. A Thread sees the whole conversation, so it shows where a brand drops out and who takes its place.

How Threads work

A Thread is one buyer’s conversation with an AI assistant, six questions long. Vouch asks your tracked prompt, then follows up the way a buyer would, and records where your brand is named at each stage. Vouch writes the follow-up questions for your category; these are examples.

  1. Stage 1

    Discovery

What are the best electric cycles under 50,000?

  2. Stage 2

    Shortlist

Compare the top three for daily commuting.

  3. Stage 3

    Objection

What are the downsides of the first one?

  4. Stage 4

    Trust

    Is their after-sales service reliable?

  5. Stage 5

    Value

Is it worth the price over the others?

  6. Stage 6

    Decision

Which one should I buy, and where?

The six stages of a ThreadA buyer conversation moves through Discovery, Shortlist, Objection, Trust, Value and Decision. In this example the brand is named for the first three questions and dropped at Trust, when the buyer asks whether the brand can be trusted. One buyer conversation, six questionsStage 1DiscoveryBest options?Stage 2ShortlistCompare threeStage 3ObjectionDownsides?Stage 4TrustReliable?Stage 5ValueWorth it?Stage 6DecisionWhich to buy?Dropped hereExample: your brand is named for three questions, then a rival takes its place when the buyer asks about trust.
A Thread follows one buyer through six questions. Being named in the first answer is not being chosen: a brand can drop out later, at Objection or Trust.

Four brands start the conversation. One gets the sale. Here your brand survives Discovery, Shortlist and Objection, then drops out at Trust, when the buyer asks about after-sales service.

The Vouch Rate

The Vouch Rate is one number from 0 to 100: how far your brand survives in the conversation, and whether the assistant recommends you at the end. Vouch shows it only when at least 2 conversations completed that week.

How the Vouch Rate is scored

How the Vouch Rate is madeEach conversation scores from 0 to 1: half for how many of the six stages the brand survives, half for being recommended at the end, and sentiment moves the score by up to a tenth. The Vouch Rate is the week’s average times 100.Stages survivedHalfDepth of mention: 0 to 6 stagesChosen at the endHalfThe final answer recommends youSentimentUp to a tenthWarmer or cooler, up or downVouch Rate0 to 100weekly average
The Vouch Rate: depth of mention (stages survived), being chosen at the end, and a small sentiment adjustment, averaged over the week’s conversations into one number from 0 to 100.

Killer question

Sample
“Is their after-sales service reliable?”

6 of 10 conversations ended here. The assistant recommended Rival A and cited three forum threads about slow repairs.
