Vouch for ecommerce brands: stay in the answer until the checkout

How ecommerce and D2C brands use Vouch to see where AI shopping conversations drop them, on price, reviews or service, and which rival gets the sale instead.

A Thread follows one buyer through six questions. Being named in the first answer is not being chosen: a brand can drop out later, at Objection or Trust.
Example data
The Vouch project dashboard for the demo brand Demo Cycles, scoped to all prompts, engines and countries: a Latest changes strip, each change labelled week of 26 Oct (Vouch Rate down 23, salvation rate down 20 points, visibility down 5 points), a Vouch Rate of 37 from 5 completed conversations, and a card showing where buyers drop the brand: stage 4, Trust, “Is their after-sales service reliable?”, where 3 of 5 Threads dropped it and Rival Bikes was named instead.
The project dashboard: what changed this week, the Vouch Rate and where buyers drop the brand, ahead of the salvation rate, visibility, share of voice and position. Example data from the built-in demo brand Demo Cycles, not a real customer.

The problem

Shoppers now ask an assistant which product to buy, and the answer reads like a friend's advice. If your brand is not in it, you do not get the click, and you cannot see the conversation that cost you the sale.

Often the brand is in the first answer. The trouble starts with the follow-ups: "Is it worth the price over the bigger brand?" "How is the after-sales service?" "What do owners complain about?" The assistant answers from reviews, forums and comparison articles, and if those tell a weak story about you, the recommendation goes to someone else.

How Threads answer it

A Thread starts with the product question a shopper types, such as the best option in your category at a price, and follows it through five more: which to shortlist, what is wrong with it, whether the brand can be trusted after the sale, whether it is worth the money, and where to buy. Vouch writes those five for your category. Daily tracking covers ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Copilot (see the methodology for how each is collected); Threads run on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity.

Vouch records the stage where your brand stops being named, the killer question that did it, the brand recommended instead and the sources cited at that moment. For a consumer brand that can be Trust (warranty, service, owner reviews) or Value (price against the alternatives). Vouch then suggests what to publish for that stage. The methodology explains how each assistant is asked, and how brands get chosen in ChatGPT shopping covers the product side. Clothing and accessories labels have their own page on the size, returns and fabric questions that decide fashion sales.

Because assistants rarely give the same answer twice, each Thread runs three times a week, and the weekly Vouch Rate shows whether a new returns page or a push for reviews moved the result.

With Vouch and without

Start in three steps

  1. Add your brand and the brands shoppers put next to you on marketplaces and comparison sites.
  2. Add a prompt for each of your best-selling product lines, with the price band and use shoppers mention, such as "best running shoes for flat feet under 100 pounds".
  3. Read the first Threads product line by product line: which question loses the sale, which brand gets it, and whether the fix is a product page, a returns page or more reviews.
